Customizing your Christmas

Celebrating special moments with family and friends is one of my favorite things.  As always where there is a special occassion a gift or card often follows.  These are perfect opportunities to break out your creativity and come up with that special personalized treasure for your loved one.

With Christmas just around the corner it's never to soon to start coming up with those custom gifts and cards.  But wait....your schedule is packed and you have no time to hand craft cards for each family member and don't forget all those friends?  Have no fear there are still ways to come up with a prim and polished customized card that will leave your recipient in aww.  Just turn to Shutterfly.com.  This site provides many wonderful cards that you can match up with your favorite photos and click order.  In no time at all you will have a perfect batch of cards.

For my card this year I'm going to take a picture of me in front of my new house after the first snow and use that on the front of my card.  Here are a few of the designs I'm might pick from this year.

Which design would you use? Check them out here and let me know.

Interpretation of a Sketch: Card Pattern & 2 Red Bananas

Today I made one card that fits to different challenges, Card Patterns sketch #30 and 2 Red Bananas request to include a rub on.  Once again this card also incorporates the use of a photograph I took last year.  Can you tell how much this little one enjoys the pumpkin from Grandma's garden?

Photographic Moment: Relaxation

In anticipation of the weekend I dug out a picture taken during my summer vacation. The blue colors and the smooth water make for a calming moment. What do you think?

Photographic moment

Discovered this beautiful flower, called Queen Anne's Lace while visiting Iowa this weekend. My boyfriend then took me out to pick a few of these and a handful of other wild flowers.
